22 drivers headed down under for a 2-day driver training programme at the popular Mt Cotton training centre in Queensland.

The highlight of this trip was the drive in the brand new 997 turbo.  We also had the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the new 3.4L Boxster S & the freshly launched Targa.

Under the expert instruction of chief instructor, Tomas Mezera, and his fine team of drivers, our members were put through the paces in each Porsche model.  From Boxster to Turbo & tip to manual, we were able to experience the differences of each car in the 3 training sections: skid pad, autocross & road circuit.

At the end of the sunny weekend, it was smiles all round as everyone graduated from Level 1 & 2, and emerged more confident behind the wheel of a Porsche.

The trip was not just about driving.  Members also enjoyed gourmet dinners after a hard day of driving – sampling a variety of acclaimed local restaurants, including Italian, seafood & the typical Aussie barbi.
